Four American airmen were convicted by a Communist military court in Budapest on charges of violating the Hungarian border. They faced fines of 20,000 dollars each or three months in jail, and the court ordered confiscation of the U S C-47 transport downed on Nov 19. Names cited: Capt. John J. Swift, Capt. Dave H. Henderson, Sgt. James A. Elam, Sgt. James A. Dulf. The plane carried supplies for the American embassy in Yugoslavia, en route from Erding Air Base near Munich to Belgrade.
