SAN PEDRO, Dec. 4. The destroyer USS Simall limped toward port with a jury rigged bow and reduced speed en route home from wartime waters where a blast off Hungnai Oct. 7 tore away her bow. Nine crewmen were killed and 18 injured in the blast. The ship, with a snub nosed bow tacked on, is scheduled to dock next Wednesday.
