Once Big Circus Star Bo Bo the Clown Dies in Poverty
Bo Bo the Clown Boyle aged 52, once earning 1300 a week, was found dead in a 244 American Ave hotel room with only a penny in his possession. A veteran of many U S circuses, he retired after a fall from a tight wire and had undergone three major surgeries. He helped hospital patients between surgeries and recently helped raise funds for two blind Bellflower babies. He registered four days prior at the Metro Pole Hotel. hotel staff found him dead at about 11:00 a.m. The case is handled as a hospital and mortuary transfer. He belonged to the Pacific Coast Showmen’s Assn and the Circus Clown Club of America.

Army Men Recaptured Near Parker Arizona
Four escaped Army prisoners at large since Thursday in the California Arizona desert were recaptured near Parker Arizona by Parker Police Chief Jack Pool and Yuma County Deputy Elmer Menasco. They stopped a car containing two of the men, Pyts Yancey J. Smith Camp Chaffee Arkansas and Angelo Nicastro Fort Lewis Washington, and later arrested the other two, Pfc Herbert W. Hartzell Camp Campbell Kentucky and Pvt. Roy P. diers Hartzell. All four were taken without gunplay according to the Army.
