Hermes of Los Angeles said his niece Mrs. George Costa of Torrance received official notice that her husband, a crewman aboard the cruiser St Paul, was killed in an accident in Korean waters. The cause and death toll were not disclosed. The ship had just returned to service on Nov. 21 1951 after a prior period of duty. wartime complement was 4700 officers and men.
