Winning Wilde production at Long Beach Community Players
The Long Beach Community Players stage The Importance of Being Earnest, a Wilde farce from 1899, with Jack and Algernon courting Cecily and Gwendolyn, amid witty paradoxes and mistaken identities. Cast includes Michael Lytton, Glenn Bradley, Audrey Share, Madeleine Rose and Cynthia Macy. A Beverly Hills gala meanwhile showcased Hollywood glamour with stars George Raft and Mae West at a "Cocktails for Two" party.
