Long Beach Sailors Aid in Viet Nam River Patrol

Four Long Beach Navy men serve on 31 foot PBRs in the Mekong Delta and Rung Sat Special Zone. They stop sampans and junks, land SEAL teams, provide medical aid, and support gunfire and river traffic. Extra firepower comes from Seawolf helicopters. 180 PBRs operate nationwide. Imperial Commuter Air Lines ordered to prove need and finances before state certificate.
