American Dancers Criticized by International Expert
Alex Moore, London dance master and International Council founder, criticizes American dancers for loose holds and lacking poise, saying American styles rely on local flavor. He cites 20 member nations and 50 more considering joining, endorsing English taught basics and the international standard of upright carriage and flowing movement. Moore judges a national ballroom contest in a televised Sweethearts' Ball event, as the National Ballroom Dancers and Teachers Association hosts the convention.
