Sacramento reports say welfare job proposals from James Lorenz will soon reach Gov. Brown for approval, with several projects already moving ahead without prior agency sign-off. Obledo says a report for the governor is being written while a three-part contract in Los Angeles totals about $935,629 to employ 375 welfare recipients this summer for vandalism repair, mural painting, interpreters at medical centers, and jail dismantling.
