Seven Garden Grove couples sue for $1 million alleging Western Horntail wasp larvae bored holes in lumber used to build four unit complexes. Plaintiffs name Farrow Realty Co. Reliable Lumber Road Builders City of Garden Grove and others alleging damage to property and rental value since 1962 63 construction. Case moved toward out of court settlement with trial delayed to Aug 15.

Amputee Guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter
A 39 year old Wilmington woman in a wheelchair was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of her common law husband. Superior Court Judge Charles Stratton set a probation and sentence hearing for July 16 in Dept. B. Neal pleaded not guilty to the fatal stabbing of Jake Moya, 33, of the same address, on March 12. Eight TV Sets Missing From West Long Beach Store
Two calm burglars pried window bars at Beghtol Furniture on 1372 W. Willow St. and smashed glass to enter at 5:26 a.m. They removed eleven TVs to a rear door, cut alarm wires and padlock hasps, then loaded eight sets worth 3400 dollars into a van before fleeing as neighbors alerted police.

Three Lakewood men and a transient were ordered held without bail in Superior Court for the killing of Kenneth Voorhees at a Col. Sanders shop.
