Do Mice Hold Key to Eternal Youth
Forty two hundred mice in a Long Beach State College lab may hold the fountain of youth. Dr H Everett Hrubart leads a four year aging study using inbred mice to probe genes that govern aging, seeking clues on whether color genes relate to aging and if humans could live much longer. The project, funded by the government, spans 50 years of research with limited chance of near term benefits.
