Secret U S spy bases in India monitor Chinese missile activity
New Delhi reports that a highly classified U S electronics system operates in North India to watch Chinese nuclear and missile activity. Manned by Defense Communications Agency personnel, the setup includes at least six radar units covertly supplied under a Pentagon program. It follows a 1966 disruption of military aid and echoes a former base at Peshawar and systems in Turkey. The facility reportedly probes Chinese installations in Sinkiang and can extend into the Indian Ocean while also monitoring Pakistan.
