Women priests repeat communion despite ban
In Oberlin Ohio Episcopal Church Christ Church, Rev L Peter Beebe allowed Revs Alison Chicek and Carter Heyward to officiate and celebrate communion. After church court actions urged a halt to such practices, Beebe faces possible suspension though church law remains unsettled. The incident underscores a national split in U S dioceses over women priests following last summer's ordinations.
