Owner fed up with four wheeled lemon a Long Beach tale
William Lanzone, a driving instructor, complains about his 1972 Chevrolet Blazer, bought in March 1973 with major defects. The vehicle spent at least 38 days in repair, including front end housing, oil leaks, transmission work, and a fallen leaf spring. Despite repairs by Harbor and Beach City Chevrolet, the Blazer remains unreliable. Lanzone fears for his family’s safety on a busy freeway offramp when a shock absorber detached. He plans to de register the lemon under consumer guidance and insists General Motors must fix or take back the car, currently driving with an obvious paint job signaling his dissatisfaction.
