Wedding and UC pay glitch delay California budget vote
In Sacramento a UC pay error and a legislator’s wedding caused the Senate to delay its $7.96 billion budget vote until Thursday. Sen Randolph Collier and Willie Brown planned to discuss the issue while UC official Jay Michael flagged an inadvertent calculation slip reducing some state employee raises by about one percent. Mrs Brathwaite wed Bill Burke in Los Angeles as the budget committee met without Brown.
