Ky claims Thieu plotted VietNam coup to oust Thieu

Former South Vietnamese premier Nguyen Cao Ky says President Nguyen Van Thieu tried to have him killed in an April assassination plot. Ky says three would be assassins entered the air force compound but were shot by guards. he credits U.S. diplomat Martin with discouraging the coup and cites other military leaders linked to the effort.
