Mass installation set by Fourth District VFW at Long Beach
The 25th annual mass installation of Fourth District Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts and Auxiliaries is scheduled Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Long Beach Elks Club. State president Lucille Cousins of Garden Grove will administer oath for auxiliaries, while Jack Melban of San Diego will install the district posts. The event features the Fourth District Ladies Drill Team, Fourth District Color Guard, and martial music by the 40th Infantry Division Band. A Bicentennial flag ceremony will be presented by Boy Scout Troop 808 of Norwalk, with the Stepettes Girls Drill Team of Norwalk performing. Host and hostess are Wally Chan and Alberta Treval. co-chairs are Robert Kamm and Marguerite Irelan.
