Governor seeks Senate confirmation for Ronald Doctor to Energy Commission
Sacramento AP Gov Brown asks Senate to confirm Dr Ronald Doctor to State Energy Commission after an investigation found expenses proper though two family trips in his state car violated rules. Doctor defends the review as vindication and agrees to use his own car for state business. A pay raise bill for lawmakers advances in the Legislature, lifting salaries from 23 232 to 35 533 on Nov 4 1978.
