Dennis Rogers of Long Beach was rescued after a five hour cliff lift on Lone Pine Peak in the High Sierra. A companion hiked five miles to summon help as a 10 man team used pitons and a Tyrolean traverse to raise Rogers from a ledge to a helicopter pickup.
