Eisenhower to decide home base after White House
President Eisenhower hinted plans after leaving the White House in 1951 but said the choice of home base rests with Mrs. Eisenhower. He dismissed reports of an apartment in Washington or Gettysburg College presidency, joking the decision belongs to his wife and lady reporters should ask her. Mrs. Eisenhower’s secretary declined to discuss plans.
