Patriot Dickinson Shines in Carson Summer Theater 1776
Joe Matarazzo stars as John Dickinson in the Carson High School production of 1776 at Stephen White Junior High. The musical drama, staged during America’s Bicentennial year, features a strong Adams and Franklin, with Dickinson's patriotism gaining sympathy as the cast argues over independence. The show, mostly male cast with two female roles, uses songs to carry a compact, budget production emphasizing character flaws and rhetoric.
