Protect FBI Files and Lawyers Unit urged action at London meeting
The American association’s delegates at the London session urged safeguards for FBI files and expanded inquiry powers. The committee proposed six measures including preserving confidential FBI files, extending congressional inquiry rights to communism, and allowing questions of aliens awaiting deportation about subversive ties. It also sought standards to exclude noncooperative individuals from schools and professional bodies.
