State to test control Harbor Freeway ramps
The State Highway Commission set aside $52,000 for a ramp control test to ease congestion on the Harbor Freeway southbound on-ramps between the Santa Monica Freeway and Imperial Highway 7.4 miles, during 4 to 5:30 p.m. Patrols will use on-ramp signals, restrict some left turns, and close or meter ramps at peak times.
