Navy Band Concert at Bixby Park in Long Beach
Navy Band 108 performs in the Progam Under the Stars series at Bixby Park at 7 30 p m sponsored by the Long Beach Recreation Commission. The series runs Thursday evenings through Sept 27 as part of municipal and school recreation programs. The 16 member unit is attached to Cruiser Destroyer Force U S Pacific Fleet led by RD Alderfer and travels up to 400 miles weekly for parades and concerts before a Far East deployment this fall.
