Lofton Elected California VFW Commander at Convention
Lofton age 42 of Porterville was elected commander of the California Veterans of Foreign Wars at the 41st annual convention in Long Beach. He succeeds John J. Schweigert of King City, after serving as senior vice commander and defeating the field. Brackendon Beach, Lynwood attendee, named Lofton’s former post leader as part of the leadership slate.
