Dollar Slides to New Low as European Dealers Sell
The dollar weakened near 9 against the mark as European dealers stepped up sales at the opening of the new business week. In Frankfurt the dollar closed at 2.2789 marks, down from 2.2850, with the intraday low already setting the week’s low, a level not seen since July 1973.
