Sohio oil terminal pollution estimates tripled in study
Ohio and California agencies unveiled a state ARB report showing that Sohio's proposed Long Beach oil terminal could emit hydrocarbon levels equivalent to 2.7 million 1977-model cars in the most probable scenario and up to all six-county Los Angeles sources in a worst case. The study warns of health risks, urges eight key questions for approval, and cites safety and economics as central issues.
