Korean denies role in D C scandal case
Suny Park Thomson, former aide to House Speaker Carl Albert, told a federal grand jury she was not an agent of the South Korean government and had received no money or instructions from Tong sun Park or the Korean Central Intelligence Agency. She said she never arranged trips for Koreans or acted on behalf of Korea and described herself as a social link rather than a operative. Thomson, naturalized American and former Albert aide from 1971 to 1976, discussed her testimony and denied sexual relations with Koreans at their request. The interview follows months of coverage of influence buying by Koreans in Washington.
