Survivor of 28 day raft ordeal aids liferaft ideas in London
Bruce Collins, the Byearald mariner who survived a Pacific raft ordeal, traveled to London to work with Avon Inflatal Ltd engineers on liferaft improvements. He survived 28 days afloat after a storm and two companions died, while others were rescued after 24 days. Collins seeks no endorsement and aims to share experiences to enhance safety gear. His father, Kenneth Collins, says the effort could benefit future sailors.
