Sacramento AP The state college trustees were asked to recommend an additional 9 million for teachers and other employees to raise pay from 9.4 to 10.4 percent and fringe benefits from 1.2 to 3.3 percent. Gov Brown’s 1975-76 budget calls for 8.5 percent pay raises across campuses. The trustees also heard a report showing A grades rising from 20.6 to 34.1 percent since 1967, while C and D grades fell, prompting calls for stricter and more uniform grading standards.
