Brushing Teeth Not Linked To Child Decay Says UK Study
A UK government report on 130 five year olds finds no link between brushing frequency and dental decay in England and Wales. Among those brushing thrice daily 72 percent had decay, while 71 percent who brushed less than once daily also showed decay. Thumb sucking at age three or more is noted as possibly reducing the risk of five or more decayed teeth.

Accusation hits cancer safety unit
A government scientist accuses the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of exposing workers and nearby residents to cancer risk. Dr. Stanley Mazaleski, 42, alleges the institute downplayed carcinogen risks and blocked safer standards while serving to protect industry ties. Acting director Edward Baier dismisses the claims as that of a disgruntled employee.
