Saxbe recalls White House pressure to derail Jaworski probe
Atty Gen William Saxbe testified that the White House pressed him to interfere with Leon Jaworski’s Watergate investigation. He said he resisted, preserving DOJ morale, and Jaworski later said he faced no direct pressure from the White House.
