Libraries in Schools Seek Funds Policy Change
The State Allocation Board debated including library books in state school building aid. CASA and allies urged 5 to 10 books per pupil and library additions as enrollment grows, with costs pegged at about 15 million first year and 750 thousand annually thereafter. The board postponed action to the next meeting.
