Funky funk jazz debuts on West Coast clubs
The Embassies led by John Preston perform funk jazz at the Fort in Wilmington mixing blues rock and catchy dance beats. Chris James on sax, Danny Reyes on drums, and Fred Sebastian on bass contribute to a versatile set of originals and covers, drawing 20s to 30s crowds nightly. They tour a lively, noisy yet danceable rhythm with stage lighting and go-go acts.
