Flood District seeks 1,027,000 for Long Beach drain project
The County Flood Control District has applied for 1,027,000 to help cover an estimated 2.6 million drain project cost in Long Beach and Signal Hill. Supervisor Burton W. Chace cited work on Wardlow Road and multiple rights of way and said the plan will aid drainage near Long Beach Municipal Airport.
