Pueblo Skipper's Condition Delays Navy Probe Weeks
The Pueblo capture inquiry in San Diego is delayed two weeks due to Cmdr. Lloyd M. Bucher's physical and emotional exhaustion. Navy officials, led by Vice Adm. Bowen, will examine why the ship was captured and the crew's conduct, with findings forwarded to Adm. Hyland and then to Washington. About 100 intelligence personnel have moved to San Diego to interview the crew including Bucher.
