Mother-in-law surprises Philadelphia couple with West Coast visit
Katherine Batson arranged a Christmas visit for her son Jim Muchner and his wife’s parents from Philadelphia. The Huebners, married 52 years, flew to California after a delayed trip and plan to see a daughter in Monterey Park and a son in El Cerrito. They found California beautiful with light weather, though snow remained three feet deep at home and they noted people don’t walk much here. They also visited the San Juan Capistrano mission, Disneyland, and Knott’s Berry Farm, meeting one of their 57 grandchildren.
