Ex-Pug Ricky Star vows comeback after jail arrest
The 36 year old ex prizefighter known as the Battling Barber of Gar den Grove was arrested Monday for probation violation after refusing to remove a portable sign from his barbershop parking lot. He remains in Orange County Jail with bail set at 315 dollars and has vowed to challenge the city code in court.

Charge Student in Stab Death
A 22 year old graduate student was formally charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of retired theatrical director Robert B. Sinclair. Billy McCoy Hunter of the University of California at Santa Barbara was arrested at the Sinclair home in Santa Barbara by sheriff deputies summoned by Mrs. Sinclair.
