Incorporation Vote Set for Rossmoor March 21
Orange County supervisors set March 21 for a second Rossmoor incorporation election. They also fixed January 26 as a deadline for petitions covering 320 acres of the proposed boundaries and excluded the area south of the council, centering the walled city area from Garden Grove Boulevard to Los Alamitos Boulevard. The measure seeks a smaller city with about 10 residents per acre in a 4,180 acre area, following a previous vote that failed 1,656 to 1,155. County Assessor Hugh Plumb noted protest petitions represent a small share of the assessed valuation.
