Ford signed veteran home loan bill broadening VA guarantees

The Census Bureau reports in its annual survey that high school completion and college transition rates are rising for both blacks and women. White male diplomas reached 86.2 in 1973, 82.3 in 1974. black male diplomas rose to 67 from 62. White women climbed to 81 percent, black women to 63.9. U S Cuts Mortgage Rates Through HUD and Fannie Mae
Government backed programs lower mortgage costs for potential buyers. HUD reduced rates by a quarter of one percent saving about six dollars a month on a thirty year $35 000 loan.
