Drowned Bellflower Man's Rites Thursday Afternoon
Funeral services for 63 year old James Paul Jinkins of Fair Haven Trailer Park in Bellflower are set for 1:30 pm Thursday at Forest Lawn. He reportedly drowned after slipping on a wet catwalk and hitting his head on a brace at the Hogan platform offshore from Santa Barbara. Jinkins, an Ironworker for I Ray McDermott Inc, lived in Long Beach recently and is survived by his wife Ema Margaret. Three coworkers jumped into foggy waters to try to save him.
