Gunman frees hostage ends 62 hour Indianapolis standoff

Clerks shot as four robbers strike Dee's Liquor Store

Rape suspect shot in chase in Long Beach
A Los Angeles man, Adrian Marmon, 38, was shot in a foot chase after a teenage girl was raped near Chestnut Avenue north of Pacific Coast Highway. Marmon, wounded in the hip, was booked on rape investigation. the victim was treated and released at St. Mary Medical Center.
