Flooding''s impact included 70 closed schools and six deaths with Long Beach reporting 1 98 inches of rain pushing the season total to 59 80 inches the highest in six years. A 7 1 foot high tide flooded Alamitos Bay soaking Ocean Boulevard and closing part of the peninsula road.
