Tragic hostage feud ends as man kills ex wife then himself
In Willowbrook a Los Angeles man, Lafayette Pruitt, 35, who had held his ex wife, Marcellous, and their children captive for hours, shot his wife and then killed himself after deputies stormed the room. Police say the four children were safely removed earlier.

RTD Driver Killed Crossing Bus Yard in Long Beach
An eight year old bus driver, Lloyd Redmond of Bellflower, was struck and killed while dashing across a maintenance lot toward the Southern California Rapid Transit District yard office at 740 Chester Place in Long Beach.
