Einstein Theory Passes Tests With Precision Clock Experiment
Scientists Levine and Wessel from the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory report a new test of Einstein relativity with clocks aboard a rocket and on Earth. The space clock should run faster in a gravitational field by 4.3 parts in 10 billion, matching the theory within about 0.02 percent uncertainty. The June Space Clock experiment at Wallops Island involved a precise comparison over a year, improving on past measurements.
