Seven Slain in Two Family Killings
A former rural mail carrier, Lawrence Weisdorfer, 45, died after killing his estranged wife's parents and sister, then trying to kill more relatives. His two children fled as police and family staged a gun battle culminating in his death. The victims were Mr and Mrs Weathers, aged 83 and 78, and Katherine Weathers, 51. The attack occurred after a divorce settlement hearing and left a Christmas scene marred by tragedy.
