Are there saints among us a thoughtful essay
The piece ponders if saints exist beyond heroic figures and profiles ordinary, devout individuals perceived as saintly. It highlights Sister Boniface’s calm efficiency, Dr. Albert Schweitzer’s humility in Africa, Father Frye’s youth outreach, and the author’s mother Dr May Clutter as examples. It ends noting the complexity of sainthood and the child’s view of his mother.
