Ozone layer at risk panel warns urgent action on aerosols
Washington scientists told Congress that gases from aerosol sprays and other sources may be destroying the ozone shield. Even with all fluorocarbons vanishing now, decades could pass before impacts are seen, risking higher skin cancer rates as the shield weakens.
