Oswego and surrounding regions faced a prolonged blizzard as up to 24 inches of new snow piled high, with drifts reaching 20 feet in places. The storm disrupted transport, blocked roads, and caused outages. multiple deaths and extensive damage were reported across Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York. Emergency declarations, closed schools, and rescue efforts continued as subfreezing temperatures lingered and icebound lakes and rivers froze further.
