Milk-price cuts said bad idea in hearings
In San Francisco a California official told attorney general hearings on milk prices that cuts would not help consumers. Dr Jed Adams warned that grocers would offset losses by raising other prices. State bill cuts penalty for pot use in California
In Sacramento AP reports a Senate bill would reduce the maximum penalty for possession of three ounces or less of marijuana to a $100 fine. Sen. George Moscone says the move shifts law enforcement away from minor personal use toward preventing violent street crime. The proposal would also set a $100 fine for being under the influence or furnishing three ounces or less.
