Ocean floor drift shows Pacific moving 2000 miles
New evidence from Deep Sea Drilling Project drillings in the Western Pacific indicates the Pacific Ocean crust has shifted about 2,000 miles northwest from the equator over 125 million years. Geologists Bruce Heezen and Tan McGregor said the data constrain crustal motions and may map past earth resources and history.
